What is PTE ? The Pearson Test of English (PTE) is a computer-based test which assesses the English language skills of non-native speakers intending to apply for university courses in English-speaking countries. There are three versions of the test: the PTE Academic, General and Young Learners. The PTE test is based on real-life academic and general content. You will come across graphs, summaries, excerpts, and many more items that belong to things around you. The test also contains both native and non-native accents, much like what you hear in films, TV, and other real-life conversations from everyday life. The PTE Academic is a computer-based English exam that measures a candidate's understanding of English. It is a 2-hour assessment taken primarily by students and prospective employees who would like to study abroad or immigrate to an English-speaking country, such as the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. Test Format : The PTE Academic includes 3 distinct sections that cover various components of the English language, including speaking and writing, reading, and listening.
